Why moon light is white while sunlight is yellow?
The moonlight is created by the reflected sunlight from the sun and therefor it has almost the same colour as sunlight. However, direct sunlight is more than four hundred thousand times(400000x) brighter than the brightest moonlight on a full moon day.
Moonlight is too faint to stimulate the colour sensitive cells on our retina and the sensors generates white colour and sends it to our brain. While more intensive sunlight strongly stimulate colour sensitive cells in our retina and sends yellow colour signal to our brain.
